William “Bill” Zick, 77, of Hop Bottom, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family June 16, 2022, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Bill was born on March 12, 1945, in Factoryville, and was the son of Adolph and Esther (Brundage) Zick. He was predeceased by his sister, Jennie Neira, and sisters-in-law Charlotte Zick and Patty Zick.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda; daughter, Amy (Zick) Rusavage (John); son, Eric Zick; grandsons, Mason Rusavage and Nicholas Zick; granddaughters, Arryanna Rusavage, Courtney Sussman and Madisyn Bolcavage and great-granddaughter, Freya Horn; brother, Richard Zick, Kingsley; sisters, Maryanne (Zick) Teed (Ray) of Virginia and Kathy (Zick) Shows (Alan) of Fresno, Calif.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, Hop Bottom, serving for many years as a trustee. He was a 50-year member of Harford Lodge #445, Hop Bottom, serving as Master and other officer positions. After his retirement from farming in 1995, Bill was recycling coordinator at the Recycling Center in South Montrose for six years and served as a director with the Susquehanna County Conservation District, Montrose.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Service, Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, Hop Bottom.
Visitation, Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Bartron-Myer Funeral Home Inc., Montrose. Masonic Service will be held at 7 PM.
