Obituary of Nancy T. Landes

Nancy Theresa Landes, 89, of Dimock, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Born November 3, 1932 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Butz) Yoder. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth B. Landes in March 2011.

Nancy was best known for being a caring nurse and hardworking wife and mother. Nancy graduated from Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She worked for several years as a registered nurse at Montrose General Hospital before becoming the administrator at Asa Park Manor nursing home where she retired in 1994. Nancy was a compassionate nurse who doted over her first patient, her husband, for 57 years.

She is survived by her four children: Kenneth Landes of Tunkhannock, Deborah Blevins (Paul) of Mechanicsburg, Constance Kimmons (Robert) of Olympia & Kimberly Richey (Brent) of Boydton; nine grandchildren: Mathew Landes (Liz), Barbara Landes (Keith), Josh Landes, Patrick Landes, Kisha Majoros (Roger), Michelle Kimmons, Luke Richey, Rachel Richey, and Elisabeth Richey; six great grandchildren: Isaac Hull, Caleb Hull, Cara Landes, Jane Landes, Zelda Majoros, Odessa Majoros;and several step-grand and great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her brother, Billy Yoder, brother-in-law and sister, Donald and Mary Louise Owens, Father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ivan and Helen Landes, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ivan and Evelyn Landes. She is survived by her brother Charles Yoder and sister-in-law Katherine.

Nancy was a lifetime member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic church in Montrose.

Services: Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Montrose, PA 18801. Visitation: Friday, February 18 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bartron Myer Funeral Home, Montrose, PA.
