Donald Imler, 88, of Montrose, PA passed away, Thursday, November 18, 2021. Born November 22, 1932 in Bedford, PA, one of 14 children, the son of the late Harry and Clara Imler. His wife Elleanor [Hallick] Imler predeceased him in 2012.
Don was the Group Lead for Maintenance for the former Bendix Corp. for 45 years. Additionally, he owned and operated Montrose Memorials for 35 years. In his younger years he worked on the farms in the Heart Lake area and for Bridgewater Township.
Don was a long-standing member and head usher for the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, trapping, and maintaining the local apartments that he owned.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter Sheila Crute (Zane) of Montclair, NJ, son Rod D. Imler of Vestal, NY, grandson Zane Thomas Crute of Boston, MA, his sisters; Joanne Foor (Robert), Shirley, and Jeannie of Bedford, PA, sister-in-law Josephine Dean and many nieces and nephews. His son, Thomas Imler, predeceased him in 1973.
