Thomas Calcaine, 79, of Montrose, PA passed away, Friday, May 21, 2021. Born January 16, 1942 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Lewis and Hedwig [Strube] Calcaine.
His parents moved to South Hackensack, N.J. in 1946. He graduated Bergan Technical School in Hackensack, New Jersey as an electrician. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1960 to 1964 as an Electricians Mate.
He also worked for such companies as Keneth Cole and Liz Claiborn in New Jersey.
He married his wife Veea in 1967. They moved from South Hackensack, N.J. to Monrose, PA. in 1989 where they owned and operated Ridge House Bed and Breakfast on Ridge Street.
In 2006 he retired to the farm house in Fairdale where he enjoyed the loving company of family and friends.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 310, Little Ferry, NJ.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Veea [Van Hoof] Calcaine, daughters, Lisa Calcaine [Jeanie Bone] of Barre, VT, and Linda Calcaine [Ricky Eisenbarth] of Montrose, PA, a son, Thomas Calcaine [Lydia] of Montrose, PA, and grandchildren and step grandchildren, Derek, Alex, Thomas, Janessa, Malinda, Summer, Margaret, Cody, Dailynn, and Joshua.
