Marcia Lamon, 98, of Harrisburg, PA, formerly of Susquehanna County, passed away, Friday, April 2, 2021. Born June 20, 1922 in Penn Yan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Hazel [Crawford] Ayres. Her husband Richard H. Lamon predeceased her in 1995.
A graduate of SUNY Cortland with a degree in Elementary Education, she was a teacher in San Jose, CA for 7 years and Endicott, NY for 14 years. She also worked in staff positions in the Susquehanna County courthouse for 8 years.
She was Past Democratic Committee Chairperson in Susquehanna County. She was a Lifetime Rotarian Member and a Paul Harris Fellow, founding member of the Center Anti-Slavery Center in Montrose.
Survivors include daughter, Jill Lamon of Harrisburg, PA, granddaughter, Alison Lamon of Harrisburg, PA, great-grandson, Jordan Lefever.
In addition to her husband and parents, her siblings, 2 sisters and a brother predeceased her.
