It is with great sadness we announce that on Jan 17, 2021, Judy has passed on to be with the Lord.
Judy was a resident at Meadowview Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Montrose Pennsylvania. She previously resided in Binghamton, NY and Laurel Lake, PA. She was 97 years old.
She is predeceased by her husband Loren D. Hackett (Tom), Parents Stanley and Maude Matthews, Sister Holly Swan, Sister-in-law Joyce H. Gardener (Dean), and Grandchild Lerae Hackett.
Judy is survived by five children: son Ray Hackett and wife Deborah, son Stanley Hackett and wife Betty, daughter Sandra Cecelin and her husband Frank, daughter Laura McMyne, and daughter Elizabeth Villanella and husband Mike. She was blessed with 8 Grandchildren: Tony Cauiola, Jennifer Greer, Mike Villanella, Ray Cauiola, Doug Villanella, Dawn Hackett, Tom Hackett and Renee McMyne Haripal; 28 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Judy was an alumni of Oldfield Girls Private School in Maryland. She contributed to the World War II effort by working on the Manhattan Project. She worked as a secretary at camp Poke-O-Moohshine in upstate New York, where she met her husband, Tom.
Judy was loved and will be missed by many.
