Roy M. Holbrook, 91, of Montrose, PA passed away, Monday, November 9, 2020 after a valiant battle with long term illness. Born August 31, 1929 in Montrose PA, he was the son of the late Enoch C. and Lillis [Strang] Holbrook. His wife Audrey M. (Paddleford) Holbrook predeceased him in 2009.
He was a 1946 graduate of Montrose High School.
In addition to his farm, he was employed by the former Montrose Tractor as both a salesman and a mechanic. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, wood worker, and a true naturalist and caretaker of his neighborhood.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Paula Catlin (Rexford) of Montrose, PA, son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence Holbrook (Donna) of Montrose, PA, foster daughter, Carol Fowler, grandchildren and spouses Jaren Catlin (Deidre), Amanda Schattenberg (Brian), Zachary [James] Holbrook, Laura [Edward] Holbrook and Spencer [Beth] Holbrook, great-grandchildren Brock, Alexandra, Caid, Sophie and Audrey.
