Rosemary L. McGlade of Hallstead, PA passed away peacefully on September 13, 2020 at the age of 78.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Charles.
Rosemary was the loving mother of Barbara (Jack) Woods, and sons Chuck (Kevin Donahue), and Steven, and loving grandmother of Steven Tyler McGlade. She is also survived by her brother Charles (Chick).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna M. (Berko) Goodwin, as well sister, Nancy and her brother Joseph.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rosemary graduated from Kensington High School in 1961.
She held a variety of jobs in her lifetime, but got the most pleasure during her many years working at Williamson’s Restaurant in Bala Cynwyd, PA.
Rosemary had a well-lived life that always revolved around her family. Her greatest joy was being a loving, and loved mother and grandmother.
After raising their children, Rose and Charlie moved to Hallstead full-time for the next chapter of their life.
Even though she was born and raised in the big city, Rosemary was a country girl at heart and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, hunting, scuba diving, riding snowmobiles and four-wheelers, and taking regular trips to Canada for camping and fishing.
She also looked forward to attending the Philadelphia Flower Show every year with her close girlfriends.
Rosemary’s funeral service will be limited to immediate family.
