Annie and I remember Mrs Escandel as our school nurse many years ago at Mt View. Personally, she made getting shots (flu I think) much easier for a young man.
We enjoyed her friendship at the First Universalist Church in Brooklyn for many years and sat right behind her typically.
She was supremely polite, kind and professional.
Truly a lose to our community and world.
