Obituary of Katherine S. Wood

Katherine S. Wood, 82, of Springville, PA passed away peacefully on, Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born December 1, 1936 in Jessup Twp., PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Parasia “Pearl” [Yaszczemska] Rudock.  Her husband Edwin D. Wood predeceased her January 1, 2011.

Katherine worked at Bendix Corporation and farmed prior to going to work at Procter and Gamble where she retired after 19 years in 1997.

Ed & Kate have enjoyed camping and fishing for over 30 years on Oneida Lake. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law, Debra & Thomas Flower of Lymanville, PA, Peggy & Harold Gensel of Springville, PA, Mary & Donald Potts of Forest Lake, PA, sons & daughters-in-law, Duane & Kathy Wood of Springville, PA, Kevin Wood of Springville, PA, Philip & Sara Wood of Laceyville, PA, 13 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, Sister & brother-in-law, Nancy & Dick Stoll of Binghamton, NY, brother & sister-in-law, James & Marlene Rudock of Nottingham, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Julie Potts in 2008 and 10 of her siblings.

Visitation:   Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 9:00 AM -11:00 AM at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose, PA  18801.

A procession and graveside service will follow at Lynn Cemetery, Springville, PA and will continue with a gathering at the Potts Lakefront on Forest Lake, 11601 Forest Lake Road, Montrose, PA after the completion of the graveside service.
