Monday, April 8, 2019Trish and family, we truly loved Fran. We are so sorry for your loss. We sent flowers from the OR staff, dr Nazar and dr Khalil. I feel bad that I forgot to add Carl Zukus name to the card. He thought an aweful lot of your mom. And wanted you to know of his sincere sympathy. He gave anesthesia in the OR. And still works with us as the hospital. Love and prayers Eileen Craige

Saturday, April 6, 2019Fran was a wonderful person and someone I will never forget. There are two specific times that Fran and I shared. The first one was while we were both working at MGH (later EMHS). She and I were discussing having a surgery done. Fran told me, "I know if I were to have a surgery done, there is NO WAY that the anesthesia would work on me.". I told her that it most definitely would work! Several years later Fran had to have an operation. When she returned to work, I asked her how the anesthesia worked for her. Her response to me was, "I couldn't believe it. I was "out" in a split second. That stuff really works!!!" The second memory is when she and I were expecting a baby right around the same time. Fran and Bucky had 3 daughters at that time and Ken and I had 2 daughters. Much to our surprise, we both got to say, "It's a BOY!!" I think Ken and Bucky had chatted at school about the name the new baby would have should it be a boy. I delivered before Fran and Ken said our boy, with the name Brian Todd (chosen before I went to the hospital), would have the nickname of B.T. I didn't like that, but that is beside the point. When Fran delivered their boy, they named him Harold Thomas. Bucky had told Ken his son would have the nickname of H.T. Well, H.T. Allen has gone by that name for 44+ years, and B.T. Garnsey lasted about one month - maybe because Daddy was the ONLY one who called our son that nickname!!! Girls and H.T., your mom was such a special person and I know she will be missed in a huge way!! Hold all of the memories you shared with her in your heart. We send our love and sympathy to your family.

Thursday, April 4, 2019To all: What fond and pleasurable memories I have of "my friend" Fran. She was so very witty and always smiling for me......she is one of the most respectable women I have ever met and I will never forget all of her "stories" for the book she planned on writing some day from her memories of Montrose and her time at the hospital. I enjoyed seeing her every day while at work and I hope you all keep her beautiful memories in your heart. Eudonna Legg and family

Tuesday, April 2, 2019To all of Fran's friends and family, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss of Fran. I loved Fran very much. She was such a devoted employee of our hospital and I know so many people in the community always appreciated the fact that Fran was on the job and how excellent her expertise was. She was one of those rare people that you never heard a negative thing about. She was loved and respected by everyone. She will be missed for sure. I have missed our family reunions ever since I moved to MD, and I have definitely missed my great chats with Fran. She was one of a kind. May she and Bucky, Kathy and Peggy be having a wonderful reunion around the throne of our Heavenly Father and rejoicing in His faithful perpetual love and care. We will see her and all of them again. You are in my prayers.

Tuesday, April 2, 2019What an super duper person in the OR. She had such a way about her to make patients feel at ease going for their procedure or operation. Numereous times she was there for my mother and me as well as other family members. Our community just lost a wonderful person. She never met a stranger. She was loved by so many people and will be missed by one and all!
