Missy Kerr, 65, of Montrose, PA passed away, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes Barre, PA. Born September 21, 1953 in Lewistown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Richard and June [Kester] Shoemaker.
She was employed by Pennsylvania Department of Health as an Administrative Assistant.
She was a member of Montrose Bible Church, previously served as a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher and was a part of leadership of the Voyagers
Member of Eastern Star, Tunkhannock Chapter, was a long time Girl Scout Leader, receiving the highest honor in Girl Scouts, the “Thank You Badge.”
Missy was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crafts and art and always loved the children, especially adored her two grandchildren, Callan and Kennady. They really were her world.
Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Kerr, son & fiancé, Dale Shotwell & Amanda Gotham of Turners Falls, MA, daughter & son-in-law, Jenn Kerr [Robert] Murphy of Dallas, PA, step mother, Janet Shoemaker of Tunkhannock, PA, brothers, Mike Shoemaker of AL, Todd Shoemaker of Tunkhannock, PA, sister, Glenda Shoemaker of Tunkhannock, PA, grandchildren, Callan Paul Murphy, Kennady Arden Murphy, sisters-in-law and spouse, Rene'e [David] Tyler of Montrose, PA, Cerise Kerr Hayes of Binghamton, NY, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
