Donald O'Brien, 83, of Montrose, PA passed away, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his home. Born April 5, 1935 in Montrose, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Hester [Shoemaker] O'Brien.
Survivors include wife of 55 years, Janice O'Brien, daughters & sons-in-law, Shelley& Tom Wood of Montrose, PA, Sheila & Rich Hall of Browns Mills, NJ, sons, Randy O'Brien of Montrose, PA, D.J. O'Brien of Montrose, PA, sisters, Ida Hanyon of Holyoke, Shirley Potts of Forest Lake, PA, brothers & sisters-in-law, Jim & Mary O'Brien of Haines City, FL, David & Janie O'Brien of Forest Lake, PA, grandchildren, Heather, Keith, Danny, Elijah, Daniel and a special granddaughter Kayla O’Brien, 2 great-grandsons, Legend and Jacob, a great-great granddaughter Isabella Jacoby and nieces and nephews.
Don worked for Andre & Son, Binky Birtch Paving Co., Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., and the US Post Office for 20 years in Johnson City, as a Window Clerk.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling, loved his outdoors. He attended the Forest Lake Baptist Church. Don was very well known, and liked by many, who could count on him for everything.
