Obituary of Elaine Berg

 

Elaine Berg, 102 went to be with her heavenly father on May 3, 2018. She was a resident of Gracious Living Estates for the past 5 years. Elaine was born in Liberty Township Susquehanna County on July 24, 1915, one of eleven children. She was predeceased in death by her father Evan Snyder and mother Rena Caswell Snyder Depue; husband Clark Berg; brother Horace; sister Wilma; half brothers and sisters David Depue, Stephen Depue, Ruth Rothberg and Miriam Bartlett; and sister-in-law Elynor Depue.

 

She is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law Donald & Shari Berg, James & Shelva Berg, and Carlyle & Trudy Berg; daughter Ruth Ann Gardner; 3 half-brothers Paul Depue, Sam & Esther Lou Depue, and John & Phoebe Depue; half-sister Esther Camp; and sister-in-law Dorothy Depue; grandchildren Melissa, Peter, Jeffrey, Sally, Kevin & Brenda, Kendall & Mary, Carlene, and Tim Berg, Brinton & Anne, and Curtis Gardner; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Elaine loved to make Quilts, read and work her flower beds. She also enjoyed riding her tractor and mowing her lawn, playing the piano and organ and putting together puzzles. She was a member of the Stanfordville Baptist Church in Stanfordville, PA.

 

Services: 11:00 am Tuesday at Bartron Myer Funeral Home Inc., Montrose, PA  18801.

Visitation: 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday

Instead of flowers: memorial contributions may be made to Stanfordville Baptist Church or Charity of your choice
