Julia Ruth Roman Casey, 43, of Archbald, PA, passed away on January 19, 2018 in New Milford, PA.
Julia was born June 17, 1974 in Binghamton, NY to Stevan J. and Ruth M. Roman.
She went to school at Blue Ridge High School in New Milford, PA and later graduated from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY with bachelor's and master's degrees in Physical Therapy. She married Michael Casey on October 10, 2010 in Kingsley, PA. Julia worked as a Physical Therapist for Moses-Taylor Hospital for 20 years. Julia was involved in fitness, martial arts, yoga, running, ballroom dancing, basketball, and especially her church. She had travelled to Europe with the Rotary Club Medical Professionals and has been honored for her work in Physical Therapy.
Julia is preceded in death by her father, Stevan and her nephew Jacob.
Julia is survived by her husband Michael, sons Justin and Keegan, brothers John (Meredith) and David (Rozlynn) and sister Amanda, mother Ruth, and 5 much-loved nieces and nephews as well as a large and close extended family.
Julia will forever be remembered and loved by those who knew her for her overwhelming kindness, her sense of humor and laughter, and the hope that she brought to all the lives that she touched.
Julia’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Annie P. Im MD at UPMC Pittsburgh PA, Dr. Srilatha B. Hosur MD at Geisinger Henry Cancer Center Wilkesbarre PA and the doctors and staff at Geisinger Cancer Center Danville PA. We must also acknowledge all the wonderful nurses and staff who provided Julia with outstanding care and compassion throughout her stay at each facility. Those professional personnel at many times went above and beyond their normal charges to make Julia and her family as comfortable as possible. This compassion did not go unnoticed nor unappreciated. Thank you all so much for your dedication to your work and the people that you care for.
Service; 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 30th at Kingsley United Methodist Church, Kingsley, PA with Pastor Lynn M. Wilcox and Pastor Phillip Richardson officiating.
Visitation: 7:00-9:00 PM, Monday at Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Montrose, PA.
