Obituary of Richard Reynolds

Richard L. Reynolds, 78, of Bethany, PA passed away, Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Lackawanna Health & Rehab Center, Olyphant, PA.  Born June 12, 1938 in Bridgewater Twp., PA., he was the son of the late Ralph C. and Lucy [Singer] Reynolds.  His wife, Elda Jane [Baldwin] Reynolds predeceased him.
He was a former member of the I.O.O.F. in New Milford, Pa.  He enjoyed bowling, hunting, golfing, camping and fishing, but most of all, he enjoyed his grandchildren. Some of his greatest passions were singing, dancing, playing his guitar and yodeling.  If there was music playing, Richard was dancing.
Richard (Dick) and Elda lived in Pennsylvania for many years.  In earlier years, he worked at General Electric and later worked for PennDot in Montrose, Pa. for 25 years.  They moved to Ocala, Florida where he worked for E-ONE as an Operation Foreman. 
After retiring from E-One, Richard and Elda enjoyed their lives traveling to Pennsylvania in the summer and Florida in the winter.

Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law, Gloria & Kenneth Hancock of South Gibson, PA, Gail & Mark Hull of Bethany, PA, Karen & Charles Barney of Bunnell, FL., a son David Reynolds and fiancé Laurie Mitchell of Waukesha, WI, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews,
In addition to his parents and wife, his brothers, Earl, Dwight and Robert, and a great-grandson, Max, predeceased him.

Richard’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center in Olyphant, Pa where he was a resident for the past 3 years.  Richard was loved by all and he loved everyone there.  The compassion shown to him during his stay was remarkable. Many times you would find him yodeling in therapy or dancing with one of the staff.  He loved to follow his nurses with their med cart and keep them company.  Their love for Richard will always be remembered by his family. 
Services: Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose, PA.
